Sahel Women’s Empowerment and Demographic Dividend Project Launches

November 2, 2015-The Sahel Women’s Empowerment and Demographic Dividend project was officially launched on November 2, 2015, under the patronage of His Excellency, Mr. Brigi Rafini, Prime Minister of the Republic of Niger at the Palais des Congrès in Niamey. The Sahel Women’s Empowerment and Demographic Dividend project is a partnership and joint response by the United Nations and the World Bank Group to a request from the presidents of six countries of the Sahel: Burkina Faso, Cote d’Ivoire, Mali, Mauritania, Niger and Chad.
