The Demographic Dividend (DD) Initiative has just released its latest resource titled, “Applying the Demographic Dividend Effort Index in Uganda: A Case Study for Use of the SMART Advocacy Approach.“
This study delves into the use of the Demographic Dividend Effort Index tool in Uganda. It takes a look at DD efforts through the SMART Advocacy Approach, which was by adapted by Advance Family Planning (AFP) and provides a framework to achieve the near-term advocacy wins needed to reach broad, long-term goals.
In 2022, stakeholders held a DDEI Policy Workshop in Uganda to discuss findings from the tool, as well as to put forward policy recommendations to improving Uganda’s efforts towards realizing a DD using the SMART Advocacy Approach.
