25 January 2016 – The Bill & Melinda Gates Institute for Population and Reproductive Health, Population Reference Bureau, and the Population and Poverty Research Network held an ICFP Pre-conference Workshop on the Demographic Dividend. The workshop took place January 25, in advance of the International Conference on Family Planning in Nusa Dua, Indonesia.

30 November 2015 – From the 30th of November to 4th of December 2015, the Union of African Population Studies (UAPS) and the Government of the Republic of South Africa hosted the 7th African Population Conference in Pretoria, South Africa.
24-26 August 2015 – Experts representing 15 African countries and from government agencies, research institutions, non-governmental organizations, and the private sector came together in Nairobi, Kenya for a 3-day demographic dividend knowledge sharing symposium.
1 June 2015 – Policymakers, business leaders, youth groups, and civil society organizations came together at UN Headquarters in New York to discuss the importance of investing in young people to achieve a demographic dividend.
23 April 2015 – In this webinar hosted by Population Reference Bureau, Marlene Lee, program director of Academic Research and Relations at PRB, introduced the concept of a demographic dividend. Parfait Eloundou-Enyegue, professor in Development Sociology and Demography at Cornell University, outlined different research approaches to the demographic dividend.
29 March 2015 – A High-Level Ministerial Dialogue on Harnessing the Demographic Dividend for Agenda 2063 was held in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. The High-level Ministerial Dialogue was jointly organized by the Economic Commission for Africa (ECA) and the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA).
3-5 Dec 2014 – Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) held it’s 3rd National Repositioning Family Planning Conference in December of 2014. Co-sponsored by USAID, the United Nations Population Fund, and Tulane University project, the three-day conference in Kinshasa addressed how to advance the country’s National Strategic Plan for Family Planning.
